UPPI is the most largely representative association of Real Estate Owners.

Its aim is to protect the interests of real estate owners and to perform a wide range of services for its Associates concerning Legal, Fiscal, Technical, Notarial and Co-ownership matters as well as aspects of succession for Fellow-countrymen residing abroad and all thosewho have real estate interests in Italy.

THE  ASSOCIATION'S  HISTORY

Up till now, UPPI is certainly the most largely representative association of Small Real Estate Owners. According to his creator and promoter, the lawyer Nerio Marino from Genoa, it originated like this: "It was a June night when a group of Genoese friends decided to meet, not only for the pleasure of getting together, but mainly to examine the general situation shortly after the umpteenth rent control act. While commenting the complex problems affecting the real estate sector, they had an innovative idea: founding an association of small real estate owners. This is how UPPI was conceived. Now, they needed only write out the articles of association and go to the notary's who would draw up the memorandum of association. Thus, hey could start with just few means available, but with the enthusiasm of who is aware of playing the main role in an event which is bound to leave its mark on history. The formality concerning the deed of association was carried out before a Notary in Genoa on 18th June 1974. To succeed and have a concrete impact, however, it was necessary to go beyond the municipal boundaries and organise UPPI on a national scale in order to spread the idea until creating a real opinion movement. Through real estate operators and professionals in other towns, a few UPPI branches were set up in Florence, Milan and Turin. Soon afterwards, the first branches were established in Veneto as well. Times were mature to found the UPPI National Federation, whose deed of association was drawn up at the Savoia Majestic Hotel in Genoa, on 1st February 1975".
As it was the case with the other territorial branches, Bologna provincial office was established thanks to a group of Bolognese friends who followed the promoter's initial idea and set up the association in Bologna on 10th January 1994. Though set up only recently, UPPI's office in Bologna has shown an uncommon dynamism, proving to be one of the most vital among Italian offices.
